First, Mehboba, Mirwaiz called for J&K shutdown today

Srinagar: PDP chief and East-J&C CM Mehboba Mufti and Hurrit leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday asked to protest a “Kashmir bandh” separately. Terrorist attack on tourists In Pahgam. This is the first time Mehboba and Mirwaiz have given a call for a bandh after a terrorist attack.

The PDP chief said, “I appeal to all Kashmiris to unite this bandh in solidarity, as as a mark of respect for innocent life lost in a brutal attack in Pahgam,” said the PDP chief.
Party member Yasir Reshhi said that Kashmiris need to send a message “and it is clear that we have united and united against this cowardly task of terror and our silence cannot be wrong for acceptance”.
In a statement, Mirwaiz said: “Whoever kills an innocent soul … is as if he has completely killed mankind.” He said that through the Islamic fraternity of Jammu and Kashmir, Mutahida Majlis Ulema (MMU), “Support and solidarity with the bereaved families of those killed”, appeal to the people to peacefully oppose a shutdown by opposing this heinous crime peacefully.
