‘They cannot have a nuclear weapon’: Trump has warned Iran of ‘Great Danger’ if the nuclear deal falls

President Donald Trump has warned that Iran will be in the “great danger” if diplomatic efforts to stop their atomic ambitions fail, saying that Tehran cannot be “nuclear weapons.”
Trump on Monday confirmed that the United States is engaged in a direct conversation with Tehran on its nuclear program, with a high-level meeting for Saturday. Talking with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, Trump said, “Perhaps a deal is being done, it will be great. But if not, Iran will be in great danger.”
A day after Trump’s comments, Iran publicly rejected direct talks. Iranian President Masood Pesesian has expressed openness for indirect talks through Oman, but supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stressed earlier this year stressed that “there should be no talks with such a government.”
The International Atomic Energy Agency has stated that despite Iran Tehran’s claims, weapons are rich in uranium close to the levels that its schedule is for peaceful purposes.
“If they do not make any deal, there would be bombing,” Trump had earlier told NBC News, warning that any failure to reach an agreement would trigger unprecedented military vengeance. “It would be better to clarify a deal,” he said.
The United States took out of the 2015 nuclear deal under Trump in 2018 and resumed rigorous sanctions on Iran under the “maximum pressure” strategy. With an increase in hostility – with an American attack on the Hurti rebels in Yemen and the Iranian drone attacks on Israel – Trump has blown the idea of secondary sanctions if Tehran refuses to attach to.
Fresh interaction with Iran has since returned to his office since Netanyahu’s trump’s second visit to Trump. The Israeli leader, who also met with top US authorities, including Commerce Secretary Howard Lutynik and Middle East envoy Steve Witcoff, focused heavily on getting relief from the newly imposed American tariffs. Trump recently slapped 17% tariffs on Israeli’s imports as part of his “liberation day” economic policy, yet that Israel is one of the closest colleagues of Washington.
Trump used the Oval Office meeting to double his controversial plan to “control” the Gaza Strip, described it as a “great piece of real estate”. The discussion with Netanyahu was allegedly involved in efforts to release Iran’s role in the region, the ongoing fight in Gaza, and the Israeli hostages organized by Hamas.
Trump has given Iran a two -month deadline to attack a new nuclear deal, warning that the time is ending and options may not be diplomatic.
