Bangladesh prevents yarn imports from India through land ports

Dhaka: The National Board of Revenue (NBR) of Bangladesh has suspended the import of yarn from India through land ports, Ahsan Tasnim’s report.
The import of yarn through Benapol, Bhomra, Sonamasjid, Banglabanha and Burimari land ports will no longer be allowed. These ports were primary entry points for yarn imports from India.
A notification in this regard was released on Sunday with immediate effect.
Earlier, India had withdrawn the transmission facility for Bangladesh. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal recently said, “Our airports and ports had an important crowd as a result of extended transmission facility in Bangladesh,”
