CM Mamta called the BJP ‘anti-Muslim’, it says that this ‘trick’ is farming to pass Waqf Law. Bharat News

New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday doubled her stance against the new Waqf Act as she criticized the BJP -led Central Government, alleging “playing tricks” in passing the Waqf law.
During a meeting with Muslim clerics, Mamta claimed that the Center passed the bill with only a simple majority, rather than amending the Constitution in relation to the Waqf law.
“If the Waqf Act is to be changed, why did you not amend the Constitution? This Act should be passed by a two-thirds majority. It cannot be passed only by majority. When the constitution is amended, it is done by a two-thirds majority, not only a majority, but also played a trick. Instead of amending the constitution, you brought a bill,” Bengal CM.
Mamta also hit Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, who is the leading NDA colleague, also hit the Waqf issue for some “Shakti”.
“Do you (BJP) have a majority now? You don’t have this, yet you do all this. Chandrababu Naidu is sitting quietly today. Nitish Babu is sitting quietly, giving full support. Why? Because BJP will give him some power,” Mamata said.
Putting her attack on the BJP, Mamta said that the rival party “wants to polarize Bengal” to get her out of power. He claimed that in the BJP -ruled Delhi, fish and meat have been prohibited in Bengali regions.
“If there is peace in Bengal, then everything will be fine. The BJP wants to polarize Bengal so that our government becomes and their government comes. When they come, they will also stop your food. See in Delhi how they have stopped fish and meat in Bengali areas … How they have taken away the teachers’ jobs and they are now saying that Mamata Banners are said,”
It claimed that the BJP wanted to bring the next UCC (Uniform Civil Code) and the party was “against Muslims”.
“Now they want to bring UCC … You are against Muslims, but in Saudi Arabia you meet Muslims … If you go to Dubai, UAE, then whose hospitality you take there … You say one thing in your country and another thing is out,” he said.
Mamta also appealed to the India block to “stay united and fight together”.
“This is not a personal case, it will affect everyone. Today, it is happening against you, tomorrow, it will be against someone else,” he said.
