‘Tax should be levied as a political unit’: Trump threatened Harvard after freezing $ 2.2 billion funding

US President Donald Trump on Tuesday alleged at Harvard University that he again threatens to remove “tax exemption status” to “political, ideological and terrorist motivated/’support for the disease.
This follows the decision of $ 2.2 billion in the grant of Trump administration and $ 60 million in contracts, refusing to follow the university’s newly issued federal instructions.

Why were funding frozen?

Harvard implemented the funding freeze after Harvard refused to follow the 3 April instructions, which asked its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) offices to abolish, its work and amendment for admission practices, and cooperation with immigration screening for international students.

“The administration’s recipe is beyond the power of the federal government. It violates the first amendment rights of Harvard and the government has more than the legal boundaries of the rights of the government under the title VI. Chase,” the university said.
