Zaid Khan rejected Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan and Sohail Khan, the chief hoon Na: ‘Shah Rukh Khan asked if I can act’.

He was not even aware that he was being considered. This part was initially offered Hrithik Roshan, followed by Sohail Khan and then Abhishek Bachchan, but things did not work with any of them. Around that time, Zayed occurred to call Farah Khan for help with choreography of a song. Before he could explain, Farah suddenly asked him to come to his office – keep the wheels in speed for his casting.When Zaid arrived, he quickly realized that it was not Farah Khan’s office – the walls were filled with pictures of Shahrukh Khan. Confused, he asked Farah about the help of choreography, which he called him. He closed her with “just keeping silent”, saying that SRK wanted to talk to him. Shortly after, Shah Rukh said with his trademark attraction, “Don’t listen to him – we have called you because we are considering you for a role.” Shocked, Zayed gave an improptu audition on the spot. However, he shared that the real challenge began after landing, as many around him offered continuous, unwanted advice – to tell them about the screen time and suggest how to act. Instead of being distracted, Zayed chose to remain focused and just felt grateful to the opportunity to work with Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan.Contrary to the warning he received, Zayed shared that the SRK was incredibly helpful and played an important role in helping him one of his most emotional scenes. He remembered while struggling with a sharp moment, where his character faces his father’s past. Seeing this, Shah Rukh pulled him aside and suggested that he rehearses together in his room. Their preparation was paid – once the scene was shot, the set as an actor, marking a high point in Zaid’s experience, fell silent before the thunder of applause.Main Hoon Na was a major box office success and is one of the most prestigious roles of Zaid Khan.
