New Delhi: On Wednesday, the Railways successfully run its first “trial special train”, which took the soldiers to the strategically important Katra-Jazigund section, in a step that indicates how the plan to run trains between J&K is on track, which are running. Kajigund and Baramullah have a normal train operation,” said an official.Earlier, the Railways had carried out the test run of special Vande Bharat vehicles between Katra and Srinagar, but never took the passengers in them.The successful test run of the train on Wednesday with passengers also attains importance on the fact that it will be an additional connectivity for Kashmir and an additional connectivity for the rapid movement of men and machinery. Till now, there was only highway connectivity between J&K, and sometimes affects the movement, including inclement weather, landslides.
