Superstar, who started her Bollywood with Deewana in 1992, was not the original option for the role. Producer Guddu Dhanoa recently revealed that the part was initially given to Armaan Kohli, but fate had other plans. Kohli dropped the film out of the midway, and it was celebrated filmmaker Shekhar Kapoor, who suggested Khan’s name as a replacement.“Who is Shahrukh Khan?” Guddu Dhanoa missesTalking to the screen, Dhanoa said, “Arman Kohli was in the film; however, he left the film, and it was Shekhar Kapoor who suggested Shah Rukh Khan’s name to me.” The producer recalled that he was the route to Madras to investigate Anjali’s VFX, when Shekhar recommended. “I was so, ‘Who is Shahrukh Khan?” he admitted.Kapoor encouraged him to watch Shah Rukh’s television work in military and circus. Although Dhanoa watched the show, he did not immediately remember the actor. Nevertheless, after returning from Madras, he invited SRK to a restaurant in Delhi. That meeting changed everything.The producer shared that he made his mind at the moment when he had seen Khan personally, before the actor officially agreed to the project. “I had locked her in my mind. He did not even know,” Dhanoa laughed and said to Shah Rukh “fantastic” and “the perfect for Diwan.”
‘He has not changed a bit’Guddu Dhanoa also praised Khan’s humility and frozen nature despite the superstardam for decades of decades. He said, “People change when they become stars.
