Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appointed Former naval commander Eli Sharavit, as the next head of the domestic security agency, announced on Monday by his office, despite the Supreme Court dismissed the current chief.
His office said, “After extensive interviews with seven qualified candidates, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to appoint the next director of Shin Bet, Admiral reservoir Eli Sharvit as former Navy Commander, Admiral reservoir Eli Sharmit, Elie Sharvit.”

Who is Ellie Sharavit?
- Eli Sharavit served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) for 36 years, which included five years as Naval Commander from 2016 to 2021.
