His love story has been one of the calm strength, mutual support and sweet milestones, becoming proud parents as friends since his early days.
‘That’s my safe place’
In a 2024 hearty interview with Entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath, KL Rahul talked about how much Athiya has affected her life and mindset. When she means her presence, she did not say what her presence is for her.
“Nobody can replace your partner. To return home to someone who loves me, cares for me, what people out of my performance or outside, that is my safe place, she is my escape, she is my escape, she is a lot of things. She keeps me on the ground. She is very lucky and very grateful. Generally, I think relationships help to live a lot.”

KL also admitted that he had seen major changes in himself since he was with Athiya. Speaking honestly, he said, “I have been out of relationships and I played before dating Athiya. I was alone for a long time. I can confidently say that my brain will be too much staggering from now on.” He said that stability in his personal life makes “massive” differences in his performance.
A new chapter: welcome child Ivara
On 24 March 2025, KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty stepped into a full new phase of life -Chart Hindi. The couple welcomed a girl and announced their name a few weeks later.
He revealed the name on Rahul’s birthday through a joint Instagram post. With a touching black-white picture of his small family, he wrote, “Our baby girl, our everything. Evra/ God’s gift ~ God’s gift.”
The fans immediately fell in love with the name and adorable revelation. But there was even more emotion to come, as Athiya later explained the meaning behind it in her Instagram stories. “Ivara, VR, Ishwar means gifts; Vipula in honor of his great grandmother and protector; Rahul, his father,” he wrote.
