West Indies announced former World Cup winner as their bowling coach for Ireland and England Tours

Cricket West Indies (CWI) on Tuesday announced its 15 -member squad for their tours in Ireland and England. Shai Hope-LED team will play three ODI matches against Ireland from May 21 to 25, followed by three games against England from May 29 to June 3.
Former West Indies fast bowler and 2012 World Cup champion Ravi Rampaul has been appointed as the team’s bowling coach in place of James Franklin. Whereas, former Ireland all -rounder Kevin O’Brien will also be involved as part of the coaching staff during the tour of the tour.
Head coach Daran Sammy is optimistic about the success of the team.
Head coach Dairan Sammy said, “These matches make an important component towards the 2027 World Cup and are signs of stability of team building after the series sweep and victory against Bangladesh at the end of last year.”
“We hope that the conditions will be challenging but we are creating a culture and mentality that insists on playing the brand of cricket that is taking us closer to some of our overall objectives.”
