Team India captain Rohit Sharma presented on Monday T20 World Cup winning ring Mohammad Siraj Siraj collided against the Titans of Gujarat at the Wankhede Stadium. Siraj remembered the ceremony held during the BCCI’s Naman Awards earlier this year.
“This is for Mohammad Siraj,” Rohit Sharma said in a video posted by BCCI.
“We remembered you at the ceremony. You played an important role in our T20 campaign.
“Therefore, I am proudly offering him a very special ring that was made for all of us. Unfortunately Siraj was not there, so I would like to present it to Shri Siraj.”
The video ended with a medal to Siraj and said: “Champion.”
Last year, India raised South Africa in Barbados T20 World Cup Title, the country’s first major success since the 2013 Champions Trophy.
The customized ring has the name and jersey number of the players, with the Ashoka Chakra embedded at the top.

The BCCI said on X, “Diamonds can be forever, but this victory certainly becomes immortal in one billion hearts. These memories’ rings loudly and stay with us forever.”

India managed to win the final in one phase despite South Africa, which required only 30 runs in the form of several balls.
After the final, India captain Rohit Sharma and star batter Virat Kohli announced their T20I retirement. A day later, all -rounder Ravindra Jadeja included him in the bidding in the format.
