US President Donald Trump announced global import duties including 10 percent levy and 20 percent on all UK goods for imports from the European Union on 5 April.

The UK government is interacting with Washington to reduce the full effect of tariff. Trade Secretary Jonathan Reynolds has assured industries that the ministers remain “fully focused” on acquiring a deal to protect the British trade.
“We have many equipment at our disposal and we will not hesitate to work.”
He also said that the government is firm to maintain “balanced business relations” with the US.
