New Delhi: As the tension between India and Pakistan increases, former Indian cricketers Virender Sehwag and Shikhar Dhawan gave strong support for the Indian armed forces, claiming that the country would recently react to border enmity. Taking his official X handle, Sehwag accused Pakistan of choosing a war and condemned his actions to mold terrorist elements.Posted on May 8, 2025, Sehwag said, “War has been chosen by Pakistan when he got an opportunity to remain silent. They have moved forward to save terrorist property, speak a lot about them. Our army will answer in the most appropriate way, Pakistan will never forget,” has been posted on 8 May, 2025.Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan also expressed solidarity with the armed forces, appreciating his sharp and brave response.“Our brave hearts respect to protect our borders with such strength and to prevent drone attack on Jammu. India is strong. Jai Hind!” Dhawan wrote on X.Defense sources as the reactions of cricketers confirmed that Pakistan had launched eight missiles targeting major areas including Savari, Samba, RS Pura and Arnia. All upcoming missiles were successfully stopped by India’s air defense systems. Explosions were reported in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, where the Pakistani drones were stopped. Similar examples took place in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, where residents reported loud blasts and light in the sky.
