US President Donald Trump is free to ban Associated Press from participating in some media programs of White House for now, the US appeal for Columbia district ruled. The decision overturns the April 8 decision of US District Judge, Judge Trevor McFaden, which made AP journalists compulsory to reach the incidents of Oval Office, Air Force One and White House during the ongoing legal proceedings, Reuters reprimanded.The US Circuit Judge Neomi Rao, supported by the US Circuit Judge Gregory Catsus, wrote a majority opinion. Rao said that the previous prohibition intervened with the President’s Authority over private workspaces and indicated that the White House would be strong in AP’s trial.

Calling AP a “fake news”, Trump gave a legal verdict after American Kurt announced the decision in his favor. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, “Today a big win over AP. He refused to tell the facts or truth on the Gulf of America. Fake news !!!”

All this began when AP did not comply with Trump’s instructions to call the Gulf of Mexico a “Gulf of America”. Furious about the same, in February, the Trump administration stopped AP from covering the events in the Oval office, riding in the Air Force one and other restricted areas. The AP filed a case in response, saying that the administration violated the first and fifth amendments by retaliating against the outlet for its editorial decisions.
