The United States is reducing its diplomatic and military footprint in some parts of the Middle East amidst increasing tension with Iran, as nuclear talks stalls and regional instability appear to the loop. The State Department on Wednesday ordered all non -employees to depart from the US embassy in Baghdad, which cited “a commitment” at both home and abroad to protect Americans. The embassy was already working with limited employees.Additionally, the State Department is authorizing alternative departure of non -workers and family members from diplomatic positions in Bahrain and Kuwait. The US Army is also following the trial, the Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth approved the voluntary departure of military dependents from several places across the region.
