‘Thug Life’ Box Office Collection Day 6: Kamal Haasan starrer crossed a mark of Rs 40 crore; Tamil film news earns Rs 1.75 crore in all languages on Tuesday
Kamal Haasan’s film ‘Thug Life’, directed by Mani Ratnam, is close to the end of its first week and is doing so on an impressive note. The film, which has completed six days in theaters, earned around Rs 40.95 crore at the domestic box office in all languages, according to initial estimates by Saikilk.The thug life was released on 5 June 2025, and Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam were brought together after about 40 years. His last film was simultaneously in 1987.Despite the Star-Stad Cast and high expectations, the Tamil gangster drama has seen a steady decline in box office collection after its strong inauguration day.There was a good start in thug life, which earned Rs 15.5 crore on its first day in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions. Of this, Tamil Nadu alone contributed Rs 13.35 crore. On the second day, the film saw a major decline of about 54%, causing Rs 7.15 crore. The weekend improved slightly, with Rs 7.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 6.5 crore on Sunday.On Monday, the thug life saw a major decline in the collection, earning just Rs 2.3 crore. According to initial estimates, Tuesday (day 6) saw a low earning of Rs 1.75 crore. The total collection of the film is Rs 40.95 crore in six days, which indicates a challenging road to maintain its dramatic run beyond the first week.‘Thug Life’ was released in three languages- Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. Of these, Tamil remained the top artist, while Telugu and Hindi versions earned very little.The film once follows the intense and emotional journey of Sathivale, a boss of mafia, in New Delhi. After being cheated by those in which he had the most trusted-he included his own brother and a foster son, which he had raised as his own-Sectywel set a revenge and set on the path of self-khoj.Spread over several decades, the story reaches the depth in the subjects of loyalty, strength, betrayal and redemption.
