People from all areas of life attended the funeral of Murali (25), who was the only son of M Ramesh Naik and Jyoti Bai.After mourning from across the country after dying in the line of duty during Operation Sindoor, Murali’s remains were brought to their original village late Saturday and people were kept to pay their final honors. The military and police performed traditional gun salutes and other honors on Sunday. Thousands of people joined their funeral procession.Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan led other ministers in paying tribute to other ministers and expressing solidarity with Murali’s parents. Pawan promised a bronze statue in memory of Murali at the district headquarters, besides five acres of land and a house plot for the martyr family.
