Virat Kohli broke the tie with Chris Gayle on the T20 world record; Chinnaswamy expands love affair with Stadium

Virat Kohli broke the world record for most half -century at one place in T20 cricket and scored a new milestone, scored his 26th fifty in Bengaluru. M chinnaswamy stadium On Thursday (24 April). Kohli crossed the Alex Hales of England, who had previously recorded a record with 25 fifties at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. The stellar performance also established Kohli’s dominance in all batting parameters – average, half -centuries, centuries and runs – in the same place in T20 format.

The record for most half-centuries at a site in T20 cricket is now standing at 26 with Kohli, followed by Hales in 25, Rose Bowl with James Vince 24, Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium with Tamim Iqbal 23, and 21 with 21 in Oval.
RCB Stallwart praised the venue and fans. “This site is the best place to play cricket in IPL, and fans supported us during good and bad times. It is a special place and has a lot of special memories.”

In another important achievement, Kohli defeated Chris Gayle in total number of fifty-plus scores in T20 cricket. With 102 fifties and nine hundreds, Tally of Kohli’s 111 Fifty-Plus score is now second in David Warner’s 117.
During the match, Kohli maintained an impressive strike rate of 166 before his dismissal at 70. His partnership with Devdutt Padikkal produced an important stand with 95 runs, in which both batsmen accelerated the overs between 11–15.

This victory was especially important for RCB as it marked its first domestic victory of the season, taking a total of 12 points with five matches in his campaign.
For Rajasthan Royals, defeat marked their seventh disadvantage of the season, putting them in a challenging position, requiring just two points from each of the remaining five matches to remain competitive in the tournament.
Kohli expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, especially his revised batting approach. “Very happy, we discussed some things as a batting unit and implemented ourselves well to get the total on the board. The first challenge here is to win the toss and in the second half it is a little profitable, we are working hard to get a good score in the first few games, but the template was to bat through a man and the rest of the batsmen said that it can really pay.
Kohli further explained the team’s batting strategy. “The first 3-4 overs have speed and bounce, and I think we tried to force a lot of shots in the last 3 matches, and today we allowed the ball to come and adjust ourselves, and we were able to capitalize on those people. We now found a way to bat, and in the next few domestic sports, we must be in a better position to get those additional 15-20 runs.”
