‘There should be no confusion’: In Germany, Jaishankar says that India will behave bilaterally with Pakistan

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar gave a sharp message to Pakistan on a visit to Germany, stating that India would “never bend for nuclear blackmail”, and would strictly deal with Islamabad on bilateral basis.“I come to Berlin immediately after India, responding to the Pahalgam terror attack. There is zero tolerance for terrorism in India,” Jayashankar said, referring to India’s military reaction under Operation Sindhor.“India will never give nuclear in blackmail, and India will pure bilaterally with Pakistan. There should be no confusion in any quarter in that regard,” Jayashankar said.The minister also acknowledged the position of Germany, “We also value Germany’s understanding that every nation has the right to defend its sovereignty and security.”On the question that the German government did not support India’s Operation Sindoor, Jaishankar said, “I think you are wrong. In fact, we had a conversation on May 7, when we started our operation, it was a very understanding and positive conversation. And quite honestly, the German government defended solidarily.Operation Sindoor, India’s Operations, was started under the vengeance of the Pahgam terror attack, which included accurate military strikes targeting terrorist camps and Pakistani military positions that supported cross -border infiltration. Jaishankar is on a multi-nation tour of Europe, including the Netherlands and Denmarks, to increase diplomatic relations between geopolitical challenges.A day earlier, he said that India wants a “fixed end” for terrorism and it will again kill terrorists in Pakistan in response to any future terror attacks.He said that the “most notorious” terrorists in the list of UN restrictions are all in Pakistan and they work in broad daylight in big cities of that country.“The state is involved. (Pakistan) Army is up to its neck in it,” he said.Jiyashankar said against the backdrop of US President Donald Trump’s claim that India-Pakistan understood after ending the hostility after direct talks between the two sides that Washington played a role in broker.Jaishankar commented in separate interviews to Dutch Broadcasters Nos and D Vokoskant.
