New Delhi: DNA of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupni has been matched with the remains recovered from the debris of Air India Flight AI171, which crashed near Ahmedabad Airport on Thursday. Gujarat Health Minister Rushikesh Patel confirmed the development on Sunday, saying that the officials were in touch with the Rupni family to facilitate the handover of the remains of mortal. He told reporters, “The DNA matching of the former Chief Minister, Vijay Rupani has been completed. We will coordinate with the family to take the body to Rajkot.”Rupani was among 242 people in the London-bound flight, who moved down from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport immediately after the take-off.
