Wall Street saw an unusual spectacle in the form of 400-individual Indian Barat procession parade through the financial district of Manhattan this week, temporarily stopped the general flow of suits and shares with DHol, dance and DJ Beats.In a viral video, the groom escaped from the traditional horse, walking, while the guests in Lehengas and Sherwani danced on the streets. The procession between skyscrapers turned head, eagerly attracted audiences and confused traders.DJ AJ, who provided the soundtrack for the event, shared a video of the festival, captioning it, “We close the wall street for the 400-person procession … definitely once a lifetime magic.” The clip quickly went viral, which led to a flood of online reactions.Social media users celebrated the cultural moment, with a comment, “Wall Street to Wedding Street in 10 minutes,” and joking another, “Hope someone played the NYSE Bell with a clarinet.” Others questioned the disintegration, called it “demonstration of money”, but the majority saw this moment as a blissful fusion of tradition and global city life.
