New Delhi: The central government on Tuesday extended the tenure of Intelligence Bureau Director Tapan Kumar Deka to "next notice" for one year."The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the expansion in the service of Shri Tapan Kumar Deka, IPS (HP: 88), which is a director for one year period for one year, as Director, Intelligence Bureau for one year, or further orders, whatever is earlier, in the rest of the provisions of FR56 (D).Deka is a 1988-batch IPS officer of Himachal Pradesh cadre.
