New Delhi: Tension boiled after the loss of Pakistan’s 3–0 ODI series in New Zealand, as all-rounder Khushdil Shah was involved in a warm exchange with two Afghan audiences at Bay Oval on Saturday.
Shortly after the match ended, a conflict came out, adding an unpleasant twist for visitors to the already disappointing day.

In a statement, the PCB said, “Pakistan cricket team management strongly condemned the outrageous language directed by foreign audiences on national players. Today, during the match, the foreign audience made unfair remarks on the cricketers on the field.”

“When the anti -Pakistan slogans emerged, cricketer Khushdil Shah stepped into and urged the audience to avoid. In response, the Afghan audience extended the situation by using further improper language in Pashto. After the complaint of the Pakistani team, the stadium officials intervened and rejected two disruptive audiences.”
Eyewitness videos, who wandered on social media, showed Khushdil reacting emotionally, appearing to move towards the crowd before being held back by the team officials.
The incident comes in the midst of a disturbed visit to Pakistan, which were beaten in all formats.
In the final ODI, Pakistan scored 43 runs in New Zealand’s 264-8 to 42 runs from 42 runs.
