The army tested the next-round indigenous defense systems under fake combat conditions, demonstration of ‘imperfect’ capabilities across India. Bharat News

New Delhi: The Indian Army is currently performing extensive capacity development at several major places across India, including Pokharan Field Firing Range, Babina Field Firing Range and Joshimath. Separate air defense demonstrations are scheduled in Agra and Gopalpur. These tests are being conducted under fake operating conditions, in which the performance of advanced defense systems with the integrated electronic war (EW) environment is strictly evaluated.Earlier this week, the head of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi visited the Babina Field Firing Range, where he reviewed the ongoing tests and remained with all stakeholders, including defense industry partners and army officials.Performance is part of the large roadmap of the Indian Army for the “decade of change” and its purpose is to rapidly track the absorption of emerging technologies, especially those who have been developed under the Amanmar Bharat Bharat initiative. A wide range of platforms, showing synergy between the Indian Army and indigenous defense manufacturers, is undergoing testing.Major systems being assessed include:
- Unmanned air system (UAS)
- UAV launched the Principal Guided Municipal (ULPGM)
- Runway Independent (RWI) Far Pilot Aerial System (RPA)
- Counter-uAS solution
- Littering moon
- Special vertical launch (SVL) drone
- Precision proloquent distribution systems
- Integrated drone detection and intermediate system (iddis)
- Light level light weight radar
- Vshorads (next generation) infrared system
- Electronic warfare (EW) platform
These performances are designed to assess the feasibility and ensure that the Indian Army is technically better and ready for future struggles. Tests outline the army’s commitment to strengthen national defense through indigenous innovation and self -sufficiency.
