Suryakumar Yadav has named his name in the history of Mumbai Indians (MI) with 500 or more runs to record three Indian Premier League (IPL) season as the only batsman from the franchise, who crosses the veterans Sechin Tendulkar and Quinton de Coke, who made them available twice. Suryakumar achieved the milestone during an MI struggle against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Wankhed Stadium on Wednesday, scored a sharp 35 balls off 24 balls, with five borders at a strike rate of 145.83. This was also his 25-consecutive score of 25-plus in this season-any of the longest streaks by any batsman.Suryakumar is now at the top of the IPL 2025 run chart with 510 runs in 12 matches, the strike rate with an average of 63.75 is more than 170. He has scored three fifties this season, with 67*best.His first 500 runs came in the season 2018-his return to MI-where he scored 512 runs in 14 matches and over 133 strike rates, as the team’s top scorer, over an average of 36.57. In 2023, he was with a top score of 103*including 43.21 averages with 605 runs in 16 matches with his most virtuous season and one century in 181+ strike rates and five fifties.
Tendulkar had two 500 runs for MI. In 2010, he won the Orange Cap at an average of 47.53 with 618 runs in 15 innings and over 132 strike rates. In 2011, he scored 42.53 average in 16 innings and 553 runs in a century in his name.Quinton de Coke matched Sachin’s feat in 2019 and 2020 with a back-to-back 500+ season. In 2019, he scored 529 runs at an average of 35.26, more than 132 strike rates. He helped MI to win a consecutive title, with a strike rate of 35.92 with 503 runs in 2020 and a strike rate of 140+.
