South Korean prosecutors have inspired former President of the country, Yun Suk Yeol, to misuse power, which is included in the increasing list of allegations against the evicted leader, already on testing on the alleged attempt to staging a rebellion through the imposation of the martial law last December.
As Yonhap news agencyThe special investigation team handling the case confirmed on Thursday that Yun was convicted without physical detention. The allegations include misuse of rights and obstructing the practice of rights, marking a significant increase in legal matters against him.
Yun was earlier motivated to incite an rebellion in January 3, 2024, on 3 December 2024 to allegedly conspire with former Defense Minister Kim Yong-Hune and others.
The prosecutors argued that there were no signs of war, armed conflict or national crisis to justify such action.
According to the Reuters of the news agency, Yun’s latest prosecution holds him responsible for the martial law announcement on the ongoing attempt of the prosecution, causing his impeachment by Parliament on 14 December and removing him from the post on April 4.
He moved to his private residence on 11 April after opposing the discovery of the official presidential residence, citing the presence of sensitive classified materials.
The prosecutors recently began a search operation in the private house of Yun as part of a separate investigation in the alleged impact-paradise related to religious data. They were allegedly looking for material suggesting connections between the case and religious organizations.
Although many fronts are now facing tests because political stress mounts before the President’s vote, leading to the Democratic Party’s Li J-Mung at present in public opinion surveys by a comprehensive margin.
