Spain’s RTVE has urged the IBU to argue to argue Israel’s Eurovijan partnership due to the Gaza war, motivating EBUs to accept concerns, confirming the eligibility of all members. The competition set in Basel, faces protests on Israel’s inclusion, Yoval Rafael represented the nation amid the struggle starting on October 7, 2023.

Spain’s Public Broadcaster RTVE has asked the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to open a debate on whether Israel should participate in the upcoming Eurovision Song competition due to its role in Gaza war.
In a statement on Friday, RTVE said that it had written to EBU, which organizes the competition, to increase the issue of Israel’s participation through its public broadcaster ear, reported news agency AFP.
EBU replied, saying that it appreciated “deeply held ideas” around the Middle East struggle, but said that all its members are eligible to compete with broadcasters. It said that it was in the ongoing discussion with all participating broadcasters including RTVE.
Eurovijan is one of the most viewed television programs in the world, including countries from Europe to Australia. This year’s competition will be held in Basel, Switzerland, with the semi -finals with the finals on May 13 and 15 and 17.
Thousands of people opposed Israel’s participation in last year’s competition in Sweden. This year, Israel will be represented by Yoval Rafael, a survivor of Hamas, a Hamas -led Hamas -led Hamas, at the Nova Music Festival, according to Israel’s Times.
Petitions in other countries including Finland have also called Israel to remove from the competition. One was signed by more than 10,000 members of the public.
Israel has won the Eurovision four times, recently in 2018.
The Gaza War began on October 7, 2023, when an attack by Hamas militants carried out about 1,200 people in Israel. In response, Israel launched a military operation in Gaza, where local officials report about 51,000 deaths.

Washington is also increasing trade tension with China with 145 percent tariffs. China retaliated with 125 percent tariffs on American goods.
