Bhbaneswar: A boat ride from a leisurely almost Bengal President Snehash Ganguly and his wife Arpita’s Cricket Association turned into a trap of death, when the Ship Puri’s light house was captured in some sea near the beach. Snehashish is the elder brother of former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly.The couple, along with three other tourists, were approximately 100 meters from the edge, when a huge wave hit its speedboat, flipped it. Swift action by Lifegard stopped the ride of adventure boat from being tragic.While the incident occurred on Saturday evening, the case came to light on Monday when the video footage emerged as the incident, inspiring the Puri district administration to start an investigation.“I have been coming to Puri for 31 years, but never experienced anything like this. We give our lives to the blessings of Lord Jagannath and mother Chandi, and the brave life saving who arrived in our defense,” Sneesh said.Describing his 20 -minute exam, Arpita said, “This is another life for us. We are still in trauma. For those terrible moments under the capsized boat, we left all hope.”He said that the sea was rough and the waves were climbing them. “Even though it was a 10-seater boat, there were only four or five persons. Before climbing the speedboat, I asked the operator whether the venture in the sea was safe to do such bad weather. The greedy operator assured us that it was safe,” Arpita said, who intended to write to Odisha CM and Puri SP.Lifegard ji Appa Rao said that the tourists were lucky that it was not dark and the incident occurred close to the coastline. Another lifeguard Panchanan Reddy said that at least 15 of them ran into the sea and pulled tourists for security. He said, “This type of boat has never happened in Puri Sagar.”
