Set to join former India cricketer BJP.

Mumbai: Former Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav is ready to start a new journey in the political field. TOI has learned that the 40 -year -old person will formally join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party headquarters at Marine Drive at 3 pm on Tuesday, marking the beginning of his political career.
Jadhav, who used to play for Maharashtra in domestic Cricket And in the IPL, Chennai Super Kings will be welcomed in the party’s Guna in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

While no official confirmation has been confirmed by the party or Jadhav, a reliable source tracking developments accepted the news as true.
Born on March 26, 1985 in Pune, Maharashtra, Jadhav, a middle-order batsman, started his One Day International (ODI) for India in 2014 and went to represent the country in 73 Odis, scored 1,389 runs at an average of 42.09. And taking 27 wickets at an economy rate of 5.15 with his effective part-time off-spinners.
While he played some significant knocks for India, Jadhav is remembered for a brilliant 120 runs of just 76 balls against England in 2017, during which, to save India from 63 to four in the 12th over, he shared a Mahakavya 200-run partnership with the then Indian Captain Virat Kohli and helped India.
Jadhav was a mainstay from Maharashtra and he had the season of 2013-14 Ranji Trophy, during which he scored 1223 runs @87.35, six hundreds to make his way in the national team.
Jadhav played for four franchises in the IPL – Delhi Daredevils, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Jadhav also played for Kerala in 2010 in 2010.
On June 3, 2024, Jadhav officially declared his retirement from all formats of cricket, shutting down a chapter, which spread from 17 years -2009 to 2024.
