‘Irrelevant’: CSK head coach Stephen Fleming reacted criticism on Ashwin’s YouTube channel

New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) head coach Stephen Fleming on Saturday responded to the criticism directed by Ravichandran Ashwin on the YouTube channel of Ravichandran Ashwin after the defeat to Delhi Capital (DC).
At the post -match press conference, Fleming surprised when asked about the comment, admitting that he did not even know that Ashwin had a YouTube channel.
After a video characterized by former RCB analyst Prasanna Agoram, the controversy arose, known as PDOGG, which was aired on Ashwin’s channel.
During the episode, PDOGG questioned the CSK’s decision to play Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmed on veterans like Ravindra Jadeja and Ashwin. The video was later taken, curiosity and speculation between fans and media.
Asked about the criticism, Fleming replied with a calm dismissal: “I don’t even know. I didn’t even know that he had a channel, so I don’t follow the stuff. It’s irrelevant.”
The phenomenon comes at a difficult time for CSK, who faced his third consecutive loss in IPL 2025 after going down by 25 runs at Delhi Capital (DC) in Chepauk – his first defeat to DC at home in 15 years.
With this win, DC topped the points table, while CSK finds itself under pressure in the middle-table reshuffle.
Despite a solid start by DC, KL Rahul’s 77 and thanks to some finishing firepower from Triston Stabs, CSK chased.
Star players like Devon Conve, Shivam Dube and Jadeja failed to convert, while MS could not turn on Dhoni’s late cameo tide.
As questions revolve around the selection and performance of the CSK team, the dismissal trend of flaming has indicated the team’s intentions to be focused on the field – not noise from noise.
