Septa Shooting: ‘Extremely frightening incident’: Four shots including 3 teenagers in Phaladelphia,

CBS News reported that the shooting took place around 6:30 pm (local time) near the intersection of the 33rd Street and Girard Avenue, which is not away from the Philadelphia zoo. Around 30 passengers were on board when a male suspect, described in his 40s, set fire inside the bus.
According to Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Paes, the shooter was seated in the middle of the bus when he turned around and fired backwards while hitting a group of teenagers. “One was shot in the back, one was shot in hand and one was shot in the leg,” Paes confirmed, saying that a 39 -year -old woman was caught by a bullet and treated at the scene.
All the victims are currently in a stable position.
Paes was quoted by NBC Philadelphia, saying that the shooter ran away after the incident. “You can imagine a very closed and close place, and you have something like that, it’s very painful for all concerned,” he said.
A witness told the police that the teenagers could be “nuisance”, but the exact objective is unknown. Officials said the suspect pulled the gun from his bag before firing and then ran away on foot.
Septa buses are equipped with several surveillance cameras, and investigators are currently reviewing video footage to identify gunmen.
CBS News said to a Septa spokesperson, “This was a very frightening incident for our customers and the septa bus operators,” CBS News said that his police force was working closely with the city’s detectives.
Inspector Paes accepted recent efforts to reduce gun violence, but such incidents have still shaken public belief. “Violence in any form is unacceptable,” he said. “We can do everything completely as a police department to ensure public safety of our public transport rides.”
Repeatedly, the passenger Dasha Sukhova expressed his shock and said, “It seems that something is impossible that will happen to you. I don’t want to think about it.”
She said that she is now rethinking her regular traffic on Septa.
No arrests have been made till Sunday. The police continue the search for the suspect.
