The UAE Ministry of Education and Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) have published the official academic calendar for the 2024-2025 school year and confirmed the major dates for the tenure of 2025-2026. After the course of the Calendar Ministry applies to all public and private schools, with detailed instructions on duration length, examination programs, holidays and instructional days.
End-year schedule for 2024–2025
- Third period examination: The final period examination for all grade levels will start from June 10 and will continue till June 19, 2025.
- Results: Students results will be released between June 30 to July 2.
- Re -exam: It was scheduled from 4 to 10 July with the results declared on 14 July.
- Student summer vacation: starts from June 30.
- Teaching and Administrative Staff Holiday: starts from July 14, after the release of the results of the examination again.
The third term includes 11 weeks, the amount of 52 school days, contributes to a total of 185 directive days required for the academic year.
Adult Education – Grade 12 Exam Schedule
The Ministry has also confirmed the timetable for the end-of-term (second session) examinations for adult education students in Grade 12 for 2024-2025 academic year. These will be held in a two -week period from 23 June to 3 July.Each exam is scheduled from 4 pm to 6 pm and lasts for two hours.
- June 23 (Mon): Mathematics
- June 24 (TU): English
- June 25 (Mercury): Social Studies
- 1 July (Tue): Physics
- July 2 (Mercury): Arabic
- July 3 (Thu): Biology or Chemistry
Students will take a total of seven subjects.
Educational Year 2025–2026: Start and Break
- Educational year starts: August 25, 2025
- Winter Break: 15 December, 2025 to January 5, 2026
- Spring brake: 23 March to 13 April, 2026
- End of academic year should not end before 26 June, 2026
All public and private schools should ensure minimum 182 directive days under the ministry syllabus.
Integrated national structure
The UAE cabinet has first approved a long-term academic calendar covering the years of 2023-2024, 2024–2025 and 2025-2026. The decision applies to both the Ministry and Foreign Courses, which provides a consistent national structure allowing flexibility to diverse educational systems.All schools need to complete the minimum limit of 182 instructions, or its equivalent in teaching hours, ensuring that the quality standards of education are maintained in courses and institutions.
