Ukraine-Russia Conflict: Second round of peace talks begins

The delegation of Ukraine and Russia met in Istanbul on Monday for a second round of peace talks in two weeks, aimed at finding a way to end the three -year struggle.Ukraine interacted only after starting a surprising attack on four Russian airbases located thousands of kilometers away. Ukraine said the raids destroyed more than 40 warfare aircraft and the biggest strike in the Russian region since the war started. The attacks targeted the bases at a distance of more than 7,000 kilometers from Russia’s Arctic, Siberia and Ukraine in the Far East.Vasil Malluk, head of the Ukrainian Security Service and planner of the operation, described the attack as “a major slap on the face for Russia’s military power”. The Ukrainian delegation was led by Defense Minister Rustom Umrov, and the Russian side was led by Vladimir Medinski, an associate of President Vladimir Putin.The meeting continued to fight a fierce fight along with a long front line of about 1,000 km. Russian forces made the southern Kherson region circular, killing three people and injuring 19, including two children. Around the city of Zaporizhia, missile strikes and shelling killed five and nine injured.The Russian Ministry of Defense said its aerial rescue shot 162 Ukrainian drones overnight in several Russian areas including Crimea.
