Trump and CBS set for mediation in the case of $ 20 billion on Kamla Harris interview

US President Donald Trump and Paramount, the core company of CBS News, will soon begin to mediate in the $ 20 billion trial. Trump called “news deformation” as “news deformation”, the New York Times said.
The case focuses on the editing of an interview with former CBS Vice President Kamla Harris which broadcast for 60 minutes in its major event.
Trump claims that the network replaced Harris’ comments about Israel, so that he could actually be more consistent and polished really during the interview. He alleged that the edit misled the public and gave Harris an unfair benefit of how he was painted.
The CBS denied the allegations, saying that the interview was edited to fit the broadcast time limit and was no intention of cheating the audience. In his defense, CBS pointed to his sister program, Face the Nation, a long version of Harris’ comments. This is the argument of the network, proves that there was no attempt to hide or distort its words.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) initially dismissed the complaint due to lack of evidence. But after Trump appointed the Brendon car as the new FCC president, the Commission re -opened the case and ordered the CBS to present full, united footage.
CBS’s original company Paramount is currently interacting with the Hollywood studio supported by billionaire Larry Ellison to merge with Skydance. Some believe that solving the case can help in clear regulatory obstacles for merger.
This is not the first time Trump has taken legal action against media outlets. In recent months, ABC News allegedly paid $ 15 million to settle the defamation claim, and Mata paid $ 25 million on issues related to Trump’s social media ban.
