Bangladesh’s 22 -year -old speed sensation Tanjim Hasan Saqib Has been handed over to your first Test call-up Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced a 15-member squad for the first Test against Zimbabwe starting in Silhat on 20 April.
Saqib, who replaced the injured veteran pacer Taskin Ahmed, has impressed select people with his performance in white-ball cricket, already shown in 28 Limited Over Internationals for the national side.

Taskin’s return timeline is still not clear after an injury to a left Akilis tendon, the inclusion of Saqib adds fresh firepower to the pace unit of Bangladesh.

Najmul Hussain Shanto (Captain), Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Shadman Islam, Zakir Hasan, Mominul Haq, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahidul Islam Ankon, Zakar Ali Anik, Mehidi Hasan Miraj, Taijul Islam, Nayam Hasan, Nahid Rana, Hasan Mahamud
Chief selector Gazi Ashraf Hussain praised Saqib’s rise: “He has speed, he has the ability to take wickets – who opened the door for him. Whatever we believed that the best team is available.”
The squad will be captained by Najmul Hussain Shantio, in which Mehidi Hasan will be serving as a vice-captain.
Wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das is unavailable due to commitments with Pakistan Super League.
