Mumbai’s prestigious G7 Multiplex (Gaiety Galaxy) and Maratha Temple Executive Director Manoj Desai opened the film’s reaction and its standing in Salman’s filmography. Talking to the Bollywood Hungama, he introduced an honest view about Alexander’s box office performance yet.
“Even if there is some disappointment, when you look at the collection of 200 crores, I will still say that the film has done well,” he said. “Our managing director Arun Nahar has been very helpful. Initially, we had a high price of tickets, but we had to reduce them to the rest of the market. We could not lag behind.”
Desai highlighted that today’s audience craves emotional depth in stories, and it has been brought to Salman Alexander. “His recent EID release cannot have magic as before, but Salman has always hit for his credit. I personally talked to him, and he shared that the emotions took the seat ahead this time – such a connection that he wanted to make with the audience.”
Manoj Desai suggested boulder roles for Salman Khan
He further suggested that it may be time for Salman to switch gear. “Viewers are responding to films with bold options-as Ranbir Kapoor’s animal or Bhool in Bhulaiya. Salman has already made action-pack hits like Wanted, but something new can actually work in his favor.”
Despite the ups and downs, Desai confirmed that Alexander continues to pull into the crowd in hisaters. “The film is currently one of the top grocers in the Galaxy Galaxy and the Maratha Temple. We are adjusting rates and strategies to combine with the public. It is all about being associated with the common man.”
