Saif Ali Khan stabbing case: The bail plea of the accused rejected the strong evidence.

Although the month has passed, Saif Ali Khan’s stabbing case is one of the most terrible events to hit Bollywood’s streets. According to the latest update, the bail argument of the accused in this case, Arlful Islam Shahzad has been rejected by the Mumbai Police. Allegedly, the film Cops highlighted the strong possibility of participating in Bangladesh on release.
Police cite flight risk and other concerns
According to an India Today report, in a written reply given by the police, it is mentioned that Shahzad is a Bangladeshi citizen who came to India illegally. It is further stated, “If the applicant is released on bail, it is likely that he may woo or affect the complainant and witnesses.”
Allegedly, the police also expressed concern that if released, the accused may again commit similar crimes.
Advocate Ajay Gavali, representing the accused, argued a bail, through which Tejalful claimed, “FIR is false from the stomach, and a false case has been registered against him.” He argued that he had cooperated in the investigation, but now, keeping them into custody will lead to any development.
Strong evidence against the accused
Despite arguments, the police have maintained their stand on the matter and showed evidence in their support. Police replied, “Strong evidence has been obtained against the accused of the applicant, and a charge sheet will be filed against him.” The risk of Shehzad’s absconding and affecting witnesses is one of some other concerns exposed by the police.
The police mentioned forensic evidence to return its stance, mentioning that during surgery, a piece of knife taken from the spine of Khan, a piece located at the crime site, and another piece found with Shahzad was in line with each other. Police said, “Three pieces were part of the same weapon, used to attack the actor,” cited a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report in Kalina.
CCTV footage is another strong evidence for Shehzad to commit crime and escape from the scene. The report said that the face recognition analysis of the footage held in the forensic lab confirmed his identity. Shahzad directed the investigators at the sites where he acquired the weapons used in the attack, making a panchnama for these places. The police rebuilt the crime site and gathered further evidence, including the call details record (CDR), subscriber details records (SDR), and tower location information.
According to the police, the mobile phone seized at the time of Shahzad’s arrest provided evidence of his Bangladeshi citizenship. The fully forensic examination of the device is currently in progress. Additionally, the police sent blood -stained clothes related to Khan, his associate Hari and other injured staff members for chemical testing. The findings are obtained and presented as evidence.
The court is ready to hear the case on 9 April.
