‘Russia will respond to Ukraine’s attack’: Donald Trump, Putin spoke on the phone; Iran’s nuclear deal was also discussed

US President Donald Trump revealed that he interacted with a stressful phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin, recently discussed the Ukrainian strike over Russian air areas and the growing concerns over Iran’s nuclear ambitions.In a post on the social media platform X, Trump said the call with Putin lasted “about an hour and 15 minutes” and had “a good conversation”, although he admitted that it would “lead the immediate peace.” The two leaders discussed “various other attacks that are being carried out by both sides.”According to Trump, Putin “very strongly” indicated that Russia would respond to Ukraine’s recent airspace attack. The Russian army has accused Kiev of damaging several docated aircraft in a drone strike overnight on Russian earth, a claim that Ukraine has neither confirmed nor denied.Trump gave Putin a two -week time limit to show concrete progress towards ending the war in Ukraine. Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump warned that until Russia proves that it is serious about peace, “We will answer a little differently.”Earlier on Monday, Ukrainian and Russian delegation held a second round of peace talks in Istanbul, which was their second meeting in two weeks. However, Russia refused to agree to an unconditional ceasefire. Ukraine held talks shortly after a surprising attack on four Russian airbase spread across the country.Discussing the issue of Iran’s nuclear weapons, he told Putin, “I told President Putin that Iran could not have a nuclear weapon.”He believed that Russian leaders also agreed to this.“President Putin suggested that he would participate in the discussion with Iran and, perhaps, may be helpful in bringing it to a fast conclusion,” he said.He further stated that the country “was slowing down his decision on this very important matter,” and “we would need a certain answer in a very short time!” He said.Meanwhile, on the first Wednesday, Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that the American proposal for the nuclear deal was against the national interest of the country.The call was received after the US President issued an ultimatum to Putin first, causing him a two -week deadline to prove his seriousness about ending the war and bringing peace in Ukraine. He also warned that Russia resorted to a “separate” approach, when Putin was not real about informing America.
