US Visa News: 133 students, majority of Indians, their service records are restored: what is this record? Why is this important to live for us?

Amid the massive action by the Donald Trump administration on international students, a court in Georgia ruled in favor of 133 students, restoring its Sevis record. Most of these 133 students are Indians. He filed a case against ice after finishing his Sevis record.
What is Sevis Record?
Sevis is a student and exchange visitor information system -an online database that uses the US Department of Homeland Security to maintain information about schools that have exchange programs, F -1 and M1 students who are studying in the US, J -1 Visa Exchange Visitor Program Program.
When does Sevis record end?
If a student does something violating the terms of his visa status, a sevis record is terminated.

What happens if the service record is finished?
If your service record is finished, you have two options: travel outside the US with a new I-20 or submit a restore application to regain your position.
A finished sevis record records a student of their valid position, reckoning their F -1 work authority (including opt and STEM opt). Opt is for alternative practical training that belongs to the major field of F -1 student’s study.
What was the case of these 133 students?
The lawsuit was filed by the American Civil Liberty Union and other groups in the northern district of Georgia. The students claimed that the ICE ended its service record “suddenly and illegally”. The lawsuit claimed that by terminating these records, the ice is eliminating a student’s position and extinguishing them.
The trial stated that the DHS illegally termination of sevis record is designed to force students, including each plaintiff, which despite their studies and not violating their position is ‘self-deporting’. ,
