Rishi Sunak condemns the Pahalgam attack, standing in solidarity with India

Former British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak expressed deep grief and displeasure over the deadly terrorist attacks in Pahgam, Jammu and Kashmir, killing at least 26 people on Tuesday. Most of the victims were tourists.
Taking X, Sunak wrote, “The barbaric attack in Pahalgam has just stole the lives of newlyweds, children and families in search of happiness. Our hearts break up for them. For those mourning. Know that Britain is standing in sorrow and solidarity with you. Terror will never win. We will not be able to win.”
Resistance Morcha (TRF), a group associated with Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Tiba, claimed responsibility for the attack. The gunmen set fire near a popular tourist grassland near the city of Pahgam, which has been the worst attack in the region since the 2019 Pulwama bombing.
