After appreciation, LSG mentor Zaheer Khan gave an inspirational pap talk to raise the souls of the team. Emphasizing faith and flexibility, he said:
“Just want to mention that this type of games go a long way in terms of that belief – that we can make a match from any situation. Today was a classic example of it. As a team, we stood up, and that is what matters.”
Khan reflected how close the game was:
“Throughout the game, there were situations and opportunities where it could go in any way – it was a very, very good margin. We were almost with them.”
With this defeat, LSG is still at 4th position on the points table, with 4 wins and 3 out of 7 matches. When they face Rajasthan Royals on Saturday, April 19 in Jaipur, they will bounce back.
