Ravichandran Ashwin honored Padma Shri by President Draupadi Murmu – Watch. Cricket news

New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin was honored with Padma Shri on Monday by President Draupadi Murmu by President Draupadi Murmu. The BCCI shared a video of Ashwin, with honors on its official X handle. Padma is the fourth largest civilian award in Shri India, which is after Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhan and Padma Bhushan.
Recognized as one of India’s finest spin bowlers, Ashwin received a prestigious honor for his outstanding contribution to cricket.
Ashwin played an important role in India’s victory in the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy.
In Test cricket, Ashwin has claimed 537 wickets out of 106 matches, taking India’s second largest wicket. He has scored 3,503 runs, including six centuries, with his skills as an all -rounder.
Across limited overs formats, Ashwin has taken 156 wickets in Odis and 72 wickets in T20I.
