The OTT platform has canceled Indian adaptation of Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Varun Dhawan: Honey Bani, the global stronghold franchise. Raj and DKAccording to a recent report, the show, in which Samantha and Varun were shown as small versions of Priyanka Chopra’s character Nadia’s parents, would not return for the second season.
According to the deadline, Citadel: Diana, Italian version, Honey Bani has been closed even after just one season. Despite sheltering these spin-offs, the story of the core stronghold remains intact. Amazon confirmed that the original series – Priyanka Chopra and Richard Maden will return to the second season.

Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studio, said, “After successfully crossing India and Italy, Sitadel: Honey Bani and Storyline from Citadel: Diana will be woven in the upcoming second season of Madarshiship series Citadel.”
His statement further states: “While these successful and widely enjoying international chapters will not continue as a personal chain, the Garh season 2 will be the most spectacular yet. With high-day storytelling, our amazing artists and new additions to cinematic ambition, when we will deepen emotional journey against Nadia, Mason,. Garh Season 2 Premier globally in Q2 of 2026. ,
Citadel: Honey Bani, which premiered in December 2024, received mixed reviews. While some critics found it more attractive than the original stronghold, it was still seen as one of the less impressive additions in Raj and DK’s work.
The development comes in the midst of a wave of material reshuffle on the OTT platform after the departure of Jennifer Salke, former head of Amazon MGM Studio. Salke during his tenure had greeted the Garh universe and other ambitious projects.
Speculation is increasing that the Tomb raider series starring Sophie Turner has also been quietly dropped, although no formal announcements have been made.
