A wedding built on friendship and fun
In a 2010 interview with Vogue India, three years in their wedding, the couple revealed about their relationship dynamic, clear details about how they handle disagreement and maintain their bond.
“We fight every day,” Aishwarya said
Asked how many times they argue, Aishwarya Rai immediately replied, “Oh, every day.” His statement attracted attention, but Abhishek quickly added clarity, explaining that his struggles are not intense. He said, “They are like disagreements, not quarrels. They are not serious, they are healthy. It will be really boring.” He said, saying, saying how their relationship thrives on openness and honest communication. The actor made it clear that these small disagreements are a common part of any marriage and add color to their everyday life.
A sweet rule to end every argument
The couple also revealed a permanent rule that they follow – never go to bed in anger. Asked who first apologizes, Abhishek took credit for a comedy: “Me! I don’t make women! But we have a rule – we do not sleep on a fight.” They combined with a laugh that men often give during arguments because they are just very sleepy to continue. “We give half the time and say that we are sorry because we are just so sleepy and want to go to bed!” He joked.
Abhishek praised the women, saying, “Women are better races, and they are always right. The sooner men accept it, the better.”
