The story of Nirjala Ekadashi is one of the most famous people and includes Pandavas. It is believed that the powerful Pandava Bhima wanted to keep a fast, but could not cause his hunger. He was in love with food and found it very difficult to fast on the Ekadashi as well. While the rest of his family saw every Ekadashi with devotion, Bhima could not bear the idea of being hungry, let it be thirsty alone.
But when he realized that he got out and became guilty, he contacted a sage to share his sadness about it. And then Bhima was advised to inspect only one united fast in a year, Neerajla Ekadashi, because it has the power, merit and blessings of all 24 Ekadashis.
