New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday marked World Environment Day by planting a vermilion supply at his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg, New Delhi. In Kutch, a sappiling was presented to PM Modi by a group of women who showed bravery during the 1971 Indo -Pakistan War. A video shared by the news agency Annie shows PM Modi plowing the soil, sapping planting, and then it has to be watered.The Symbolic Act comes in April after weeks of the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, where Hindu people were killed in front of their wives. Sindhor, traditionally associated with married Hindu women, became a national symbol after the April attack, leading to strong vengeance from India. India launched Operation Sindor, targeting terrorist bases inside Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK). Sources have said that the name of the operation was given by PM Modi himself.In his first public statement since the operation, PM Modi announced, “No blood, but sindoor flows through my veins,” warning that the enemies of India now know that “vermilion turns into ammo”.
