Patriotism should be ‘ultimate religion’ to defeat terrorism

New Delhi: Union Minister Piyush Goyal said on Saturday that incidents like recent terror attack Pahgam As long as all 140 crore Indians adopt patriotism and nationalism as their “ultimate religion”, we will continue to disturb our country.
The minister said, “As long as all 140 crore Indians consider patriotism and nationalism as their ultimate religion, such incidents will continue to bother our country. However, there is enough force to give a response in India,” the minister said.
Talking to reporters, Goyal emphasized that such actions of violence would never break India’s spirit and the country has enough strength to “feed” its enemies.
The Union Commerce Minister said, “These incidents represent the final efforts of those powers. It is an unbearable attack, but we will not leave anyone.”
Goyal also expressed confidence that the punishment of the people would resume a quick tour of tourism in Kashmir and the pilgrims will continue their Amarnath Yatra without any fear.
Highlighting India’s success in dealing with internal threats, he said, “As soon as we are rapidly ending Naxalism, we will defeat terrorism in this way. India’s strength and determination are unimaginable.”
On the issue of Pakistani citizens ending their visa, Goyal said that the government had already directed them to leave and insisted that no one would be allowed to live illegally.
“We have already announced and informed them to leave the country. No one will be allowed to stay here illegally.”
He said, “The people of Bharat have strength, courage and confidence. Tourism will soon resume, pilgrims will continue their Amarnath Yatra, and Kashmir will remain firmly on the path of progress. No one can stop it,” he said.
26 people, mostly tourists, were killed in a terrorist attack on 22 April in a popular meadow in Pahalgam. In response, India announced several diplomatic measures against Pakistan, including suspension of the Indus Water Treaty.
