New Delhi: On Friday night, a terrorist was killed in an encounter with security forces in Kishtar district of Jammu and Kashmir, while a separate discovery is going on in Udampur to track three others, said army officials said.
Security forces have made their surveillance extensive to incorporate the Bhadirwah region of Doda district to monitor terrorist movements in the hilly districts of Jammu region.
Excavation of the installment-doda-ramban range, Sridhar Patil confirmed that the operation in the area was going on for three days.
“A terrorist was finished this morning”, he informed reporters in the installment.
He said that other terrorists of the area are surrounded and until everyone is neutralized, the operations will continue.
Officials said that there was a confrontation in the installment during a joint army and Jammu and Kashmir Police intelligence-detected discovery and devastating operations in the Chatru forest area of the district.
The forces approached the terrorists during the operation.
On the Army’s White Night Corps or X 16 Corps said, “The terrorists were effectively engaged, and a shelling took place. A terrorist has been neutralized so far.”
“Despite the hostile terrain and adverse weather, our brave soldiers continue to operate tirelessly,” said this.
Officials indicated that security forces have strengthened monitoring in high altitude areas of Bhadirwah in Doda district, as melting ice in high grasslands provides summer infiltration.
In the last 19 days, there were five conflicts in the hill Kathua-Udhampur-Kishtar area. As a result, three terrorists were killed, four police personnel died, and three police personnel and a girl were hurt.
Officials confirmed that the search operations started again in Jofar-Marta forests of Udampur district on Friday.
He said that many security agencies are fully searching for the forest sector using snower dogs and aerial surveillance to locate the three terrorists hidden in the region.
