‘Operation Fake Monster’: Brazilian Police Stop Bomb Plot at Lady Gaga’s Rio Concert

Brazilian police arrested two people on an alleged conspiracy to bomb the concert of Lady Gaga in Kopakbana Beach Rio D Janeiro on Saturday.
Officials said on Sunday that the planned attack was thwarted during a joint operation between Rio de Janeiro’s Civil Police and Ministry of Justice.
Officials believe that the group behind the conspiracy was spreading abusive language against the LGBTQ community and trying to make online teenagers fanatic to carry out attacks with Molotov cocktails and homemade explosives.
Police said, “The plan was considered as a ‘collective challenge’ for the purpose of achieving infamous on social media,” saying that the operation was kept calm to avoid nervousness or misinformation.
Operation, “fake monster” was named – a play on Lady Gaga’s fanbase known as “Little Monsters” – made illegal weapons charges for arrest of an adult in the southern state of Rio Grande Do Sall. A teenager in Rio was also detained for having child pornography.
Police discovered houses of 15 suspects in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Rio Grande Do Sul, and Mato Groso. The phone and electronic devices were seized during the coordinated crack.
